Hi

With exemptions you could resonably look at 2 1/2 years for CIMA or ACCA, though you could also look at about 2 years.

CIMA is perceived as just management accounts and ACCA as financial accounts. But really they have a good balance of both types in each qualification. The differences being that ACCA covers audit and more on tax and its financial accounting content is quite technical. Whereas CIMA doesnt cover audit and its financial accounting content is more about financial management and looking at fnancial accounts from an alaysis and business management point-of-view.

Also look at www.cimaglobal.com for details on Cima. To give you an idea, I completed AAT in summer 2003 and have just sat Cima Strategic Level 2 years on. If I pass this time I will sit the final case study in September. You will have 6 papers at Managerial Level, 3 at Strategic and then the case study to do so really 2 years is the absolute minimum and more realistically 2.5 to 3 years.
