bank in trial balance

in desperate need of a clue.<BR>when you fill in the trail balance and you put in the bank balance, where do you get that figure from????? tutor is on holiday and guy in accounts laughed. somebody please help.<BR>xxx

    Balance your cash book or T account and its the c/f amount!<BR>Or is it on a list of balances etc..<BR><BR>You need to look at the question you are trying to do and your bank balance (if you need it) will be somewhere in the questions.

    From doing the past papers the figure is always in the cash book as the bal c/f, have yet to see it anywhere else!<BR><BR>K

    the amount for the bank is shown in CASH BOOK... balance c/f....... that same figure u enter in trial balance on DEBIT side...<BR><BR>
