Is it just me or is there a hell of a lot to remember on the DFS paper??

Anyone got any tips especially on the Cash Flow Statement area or anyone had any examiner information that they want to share i.e. paper specific items??

Also anyone got any copies of answer booklets that they can email me, I'm looking at what the pro-forma's supplied in the Exam look like, in the hope that I can stop trying to force information in.

Really don't feel that confident about this exam and only 24 days to go till the actual exam. Very nervous as I don't want to have to come back next year.

Anyone who can email me an answer book so I can see a supplied proforma jamesgray8@hotmail.com would be appreciated, or even a web link to where I can download one?

Good luck everyone!!
There is a lot to remember, it is a big unit.

However - once you can do one consolidated balance sheet / profit and loss you can do them all! The adjustments are pretty much the same year on year, so keep doing the question practice and soon you'll be doing them in your sleep!

The cash flow statements are the same - the pro forma is given in the exam (I promise, I did it in Dec).

Keep doing question practice - it's so boring, but it's the only way to get it fixed in your head!

Hang in there. If you practice the past papers it increases your confidence inthe practical questions.

The major problem I have is trying to revise all the accounting standards, there at least 28 and despite recording them on to index cards its hard to rember them all. My only relief is that its only one question !!

put posit it notes up everywhere with the standards on-even in the loo. You will have them popping into your head in no time as you cannot escape!!!

Set up a power point presentation on them as your screen saver-this also helps

I done the Exam last december & now applying the same technique to all the ratios for unit 8!

Best of luck

Proformas from the answer booklets are on the AAT website with the past papers. They also have copies of the Chief Assessors reports. These are useful as topics that have been done badly are usually reassessed.

I think the proformas will save me but I struggle on the Accounting Standards too.
