Backward Variance

Oh my god help! My teacher has never mentioned the above. What is it? Please could someone explain this variance to me in full detail.<BR><BR>Cheers

    I asked my tutor about it and her words, to the letter, were "I'm not entirely sure". Helpful.

    I asked my tutor, he said it is just working the same variance out with a given answer. For example you have the Adverse or Favourable Variance, (the usual answer) and you need to work the equation back to the missing number. This can be the standard cost etc.<BR><BR>Hope this helps. It is not a scary as it sounds, but it is hard enough to remember them all the right way without them throwing this problem at us.

    Is this about PQ printing that we should expect backwards variances in PEV?<BR><BR>We had a wobble about it at college - our tutor spoke to the external verifier who laughed and said not to listen to PQ and that she was 99.9% sure it wouldn't come up in the exam.<BR><BR>You watch now I've said that it will but this is from the EV so it has to be more reputable than the mag!?!<BR><BR>Good luck to everyone sitting exams next week. Lets hope we never hear of backwards variances again!<BR><BR><BR><BR>
