I am having exactly the same problem. I thought I was getting on really well until then!0 -

I, too, was going round in circles because I had 2 years 11 months but then realised that it was 2 point 9 years not 2 years 9 months. This is calculated as 290/320 (amount still outstanding divided by net cashflow for year).0 -

Ive responded to the other e mail but I agree is should be 2.9 years or 2 year and 11 months.0 -

I did that 2003 paper this morning and the december 2004 one.
I got 2.9 years and wrote both 2yrs 11 months and 2.9.
either one i would assume in the exam would be correct.

Only thing i didnt get 100% correct in both papers is the wording for the stupid memos.
I just cant get my head around the correct wording - as per their answers.
I get the same sort of answers but in a very long winded waffled format.

Memo's are a real worry to me now.

0 -

Memos are my biggest weakness too! One of the girls at college leaves them all till the end and then spends all spare time planning them on a blank piece of paper. I have found this helps me a little to at least leave out all the irrelevant rubbish that i tend to waffle on about but I am concerned about leaving them til the end. I dont suppose that anyone has other suggestions?
0 -

I'm totally stuck on this payback question (task 2.4a).
I don't know how you get 2.9 years. I'm completely blank.....
Please refresh my memory.....?0
