Hi there, could anyone help I think I'm going mad!!!

Section 1 Task 1.2 (iii) give two more pieces of info needed to set standard direct materials for 2004?

I have the awnser of Customer demands, but the other "product Specification" just does not make sence to me. I've read it over and over. If I don't understand it I can't remember it and I'm not going to write something I haven't got a clue about.

Could some explain what they are trying to say or give me an alternative, please.

Cheers Truffle.

I think product specification relates to materials bought in. If the specification of the material is improved a manufacturer will require less for 'good' production as there is less wastage. If a standard has been set where there is a percentage of wastage and the spec is improved the standard should be reset for accurate management information purposes.

Material specification also has an effect on labour variances.

Don't have the question in front of me but hope this helps a bit.
