Hi all,

I am a Distance Learning student (any others out there?) and I am sitting my very first AAT exam on Wednesday, Unit 5 FRA. Having done several Mock papers already I have found it much better to be able to draft out my answers on spare blank paper before comitting them to the actual exam paper, to save any unnecessary crossing-outs or Tipex! Can anyone tell me if I will be allowed to take blank paper in with me or if this is not allowed? Any other tips from experienced exam takers? Are we allowed to take in drinks of any sort, preferably bottled water?

Good luck to everyone next week!

Regards,
Tim

Sorry but you would not be allowed to take paper in with you although yopu will find that there will be several blank spaces and pages in the acual exam paper. Bottled water, sweets etc shouldn't be a problem but it is lkargely down to individual assessment centres.

Good luck

Graham Blott0 -

You need not to tak any paper in, but can do all your workings on all the blank sheets in the exam paper and indicate the question numbers.

I wish you good luck.

0 -

I will therefore be the fourth!

Wednesday is also my first exam, although you are ahead of me. I have completed the skills test and the mock exam, but as yet have had no time to revise. Not too worried as I have all the past papers and Monday and Tuesday off work - so I should have a fun couple of days. Good luck on Wednesday and to anyone else reading this who is about to sit an exam!0 -

Thanks to you all for replying, great to know I'm not alone on Distance Learning! Thanks for the hints regarding blank paper too, after having sat the December 2004 paper yesterday as a mock I now realise that there should be plenty of space in the paper for drafting. I don't mind the markers seeing it either, hopefully it will demonstarte further understanding?! By the way, I only got one question slightly wrong on the December paper and that was my own fault for not reading the question properly. If this June's paper is of similar standard then I'm reasonably confident. Again, good luck to all!!

Tim
0
