I really struggled with this one. I went into the exam this morning feeling slightly confident and come out feeling completely deflated and confused. I've got no hope of passing this one. section 2 task 2 what a nightmare didn't have a clue what they wanted I've said yes but think it should be no didn't know where to start!

I said yes to section 2 as well but couldnt think of any legitimate reasons, only that it would cut costs and increase gross profit by whatever, I forget now! I couldnt remember how to do ABC either, but the missing variances werent too bad. Feel very let down after feeling OK about this paper this morning. Ive already failed it once. It wasnt like any of the past papers at all.

Say for instance 'yes' was the correct answer. Will we get credit for saying yes regardless of the waffle of why we said yes. Answers was all over the place. I wish someone would do a survey of who said yes and who said no because at this moment the jury is split.

Of those that said yes everybody seems to have different figures anyway and of those that said no they have different figures as well. Who the hell is right.

I said yes too but was in such a rush to finish that I didn't really have time to explain why properly or back up my answer.

Did anyone else think it was a really long paper? Usually most people have left before the end but today about half the class was there until the end, and quite a few people had to stop before they had finished. I finished (ish) a few minutes before the end, but didn't have time to check my answers.

I said no as well, I thought the whole paper was really sneaky, lots of ambiguous questions. Where were all the TQM, scorecard and value questions?? It was nothing like the past papers or the practise exams in the osborne books. I felt really deflated when I came out of the exam, the worst I've felt after any exam.

I said no too, but I don't know why! The rest of the class were split roughly 50/50

I said yes, my friend said no!

I felt it was a very long paper too. I felt fairly confident before starting but felt it was totally different to every other paper Ive looked at too. I didnt have time to check any of my answers and my report was scribbled in the last two minutes! Im not sure if I did the ABC right either - and I did think they were quite easy when I revised.

there just seemed so much to do, and so little time to do it all in.

Some people walked out half way through after giving up!

I said yes as I saw the saving will increase the gross profit, I don't remember the figure but I hope that Im in the safe side by saying yes.

All other tasks were ok, so do you think that I will pass.

good luck

I calculated the unit cost for being sub contracted and being made in house. The two were both £200 and then I deducted £1 per the saving in holding stock. What calculations did everyone use?
