Am i the only one who thought the paper was awful.<BR>The wording of the questions was very misleading.<BR>I think i may have failed.

    I thought the same! Wording was unclear in several questions and there were far too many 000's in the figures. Time was a big factor for me. I struggled to complete all the questions in section 2. Had to leave answer to limiting factors question out due to lack of time and didn't feel confident that I fully answered the report question.

    I managed to answer all questions except absorption costing but I know i didn't get some right. I think I got some right but most wrong. I seemed to know the wordy bits except the commercial bit.

    I also thought that the wording was awful as well especially on the absorbtion part.<BR><BR>I made some assumptions on some questions as I thought that the wording was bad, when I made these assumptions I wrote them on the paper so the marker can see them.<BR><BR>I think that I mucked up on calculating the OH abs rate, the memo (commercial factors, I couldn't even find anything in the books about this) and the written questions

    Did anyone, put the direct cost in the fixed overhead??<BR><BR>Well I looked at this several times and know that direct cost do not go on their but still put in it.<BR><BR>

    I included it because the total of the fixed overheads was already put in the chart and the figures wouldn't have balanced without it. I wasn't sure but it didn't affect any other question so hopefully ok.

    nightmare, I have def failed all the practice papers were easier and had clear questions!!!! <BR><BR>I give up......

    i agree, i wondered if the direct assembly costs should even be in the overheads, but as it was included in the total i included it? also, how irritating was it putting all the information on the back of the allocation sheet - all previous practice papers enabled us to tear out the allocation sheet for ease of reference......i found the previous papers far easier than this one, god knows how bad fra will be tomorrow?! this new examiner maybe wants to fail a lot of folk, more revenue for aat, with resists, lol

    Hi, just reading your post on the forum and just wanted to say your views are shared. I didn't see the point of placing six zero's after every number, that really got up my nose. And I was also unable to complete all of the questions (probably because I was constantly checking my calculations to make sure the amount of zeros I had was correct).<BR><BR>Richard<BR>
