Well, i actually came out of the exam thinking it wasn't too bad. I even felt it was a fair exam. <BR>Before you switch off, I'm definately one of the brightest or quickest students. Probably somewhere in the lower middle.<BR>Maybe there was a lot more of it compared to other years, but I felt they were only asking things we should know at this level.<BR>Like a lot of others, I think I did cock up 2.2 as well, because for some unknown reason I was convinced the exam was ending at 12:15 and panicked about running out of time. <BR>I oversimplified it compared to everyone else. I just said it was costing us £12 extra per unit times 1000 units produced in april making £12000 extra cost, but saving us 78000 in overheads and 12000 in other stocking costs, so a saving overall so go for it.<BR>(then added at the end there was no closing stock so should have based it on 850 units. saving even more)<BR>I just took it as a quick question at the end because I believed we wouldn't be tight on time for the PEV exam.<BR>If I had realised I had another half hour I would have read into it a lot more.<BR>Anyway, I don't believe the AAT are out to trick anyone, they simply need to know competent or not competent. <BR>It's daft to say anything else because If everyone fails, they wouldn't have any new members after all.<BR>I'm sure if everyone experienced problems with the task, it will be taken into account when marking. <BR>Well, It won't do any good to worry about it now. It's not controlable and may not be significant (Just like the variences you don't investigate) Wait until August!!

    I agree with the majority and think that the paper was long and not worded very well but think thats its good you feel like you do about it...I wish I did!

    Well, every exam I have sat, i have been convinced i have messed up in one way or another, and every single time I have spent months between the exams and the results worrying about it. <BR>When finally the results have been released my stomach has been in knots. So when they finally appear on my screen and I look at them through one screwed up eye and I found I passed I get so emotional it's kind of embarrassing to be at work.<BR>This time round I swore I would try to take a step back and not get so stressed out by it. <BR>What will be will be.<BR>All the whinging in the world wont change a thing!

    Hi<BR><BR>I think you forgot the reducing in the variable costs, the extra £12 you mentioned was based on the budget not the actual but they wanted your openion based on the actual performance.<BR><BR>I said yes because our profit will increase, but still not confident.<BR><BR>any way good luck every body and prepare for next.

    I also over simplified this - felt I should be writing out a very involved calculation to back up my theory but had lost the will to live. There were only 10 of us sat in a huge hall, no heating and either an open window or badly fitting window with freezing draft coming through. Not sure what the weather was like in the rest of the country but we live on the north east coast and it was freezing. Some students had to keep leaving the room to go to the toilet to warm their hands under the tap. I knew I had to write something for every task otherwise, we've been warned, it's an instant fail - can't deem you competent if you haven't even attempted it. So I wrote a very short report which, the people who know me or have ever e-mailed me will know this is totally out of character! By this time I was so cold and shivery I could barely write and my constant shivering was making my desk wobble! Thought about putting a note on the paper but wondered if an examiner would believe it in the middle of June - especially if they are marking on a really hot day. Just wanted to be able to get out of the room and get the car heater on. It took me all afternoon to thaw out. Written to the head of department to see if something can be sorted out for Wednesday but know if she arranges some heating and it is a typical June day we will be just as upset. <BR><BR>

    We all froze as well. Colleges can never quite get it right?!My hands and feet were freezing (although I had worn sandals...well it IS June!?) <BR>The nerves seemed to keep my face warm though I went a lovely shade of pink as I read through the exam!!! Kept warming my hands on my face!<BR><BR>I messed up 2.2 as well, everyone in our class did it differently. I'm hoping for points for layout!<BR><BR>Peeps are quite right saying it cannot be changed now but a little whinging for a couple of days lets the stress out!!! Well thats my excuse anyway!<BR><BR>On to PCR revision then...joy<BR>
