After PEV, I'm not sure how much difference this might make, but does anyone have any exam tips or ideas about what to be really focusing on for the PCR exam? I have two days cramming and want to make sure I'm not missing something..

Thanks!

This is just my opinion as it wasn't tested extensively in PEV

More time series: moving avereages, linear regression etc...

Anyone read anything on any websites/ in any publications re: PCR?0 -

If anyone has any could they email me, i found the tips on here for the PEV really helpful as i knew nothing about ABC costing until i read about it on here or 'backward varinaces'!
I hope this exam is not going to be as dificult as mondays!

Fiona.easton@nr-europe.com

Thanks,
Fiona0 -

From FTC covering both exams:-

'The examiner is bringing stock into variance questions, expect backwards variances, consider how computer packages aid movements to ABC and problems implementing ABC, ABC Calculations and TAC v MC'

Well that seems pretty accurate to me, although most of it, if not all was on yesterdays paper. I'm hoping for a nice flex budget and re-done as MC type question in part 2.0 -

Hi Sandy Hood posted some tips on this forum a few days ago for another student I jotted down the following notes:-

Might include, Budgetry control variances - compare budget to actual
Marginal costing Statement with a different profit from an absorption costing statement question (see practice exam 5 Osborne Workbook which I've just completed) Motivation of managers and how budgets can be used in a positive way and weaknessess of participative budgeting. Might be multi-period production budget, lookout for limit on labour time or materials, ways to forecast - product with rapid growth in initial stage but be be entering a period of maturity when sales growth may be more steady "Product Life Cycle"

Nicola0 -

Section 2.1 is where I will be focusing most of my attention on. This has always been my downfall in past exams0 -
