Hi<BR><BR>Is it me or does there appear to be a huge amount of information to absorb for the DFS exam? My brain is so crammed I feal it will explode before tomorrow!<BR><BR>Having to remember layouts, FRS's, SSAP's, Ratios plus having to analyse data seems a nightmare, when we will probably only get tested on the minority of things tomorrow.<BR><BR>I've been revising this all yesterday afternoon & evening plus all of today so far. And I still don't feel like any of it is sinking in. It's like information overload. Then it's PCR on Thursday, I haven't even looked at that!<BR><BR>Sorry, just had to have a moan.<BR><BR>Emma

    Information Overload - DFS

    I did DFS last June and I thought it was the worst unit. Thought the same as you - far too much information to take in!!!<BR><BR>We were told it was most likely that a consolidated bal sheet would come up so I concentrated on the bal sheets - and what happened .... a consolidated p&l - not good.<BR><BR>I didn't learn my FRSs or SSAPs properly and somehow I managed to pass - don't know how but I did.<BR><BR>Don't get too stressed and don't try and cram just as you go into the exam as what you don't know then you won't know (if that makes sense).<BR><BR>Good Luck!!!!!<BR><BR>Helen

    Information Overload - DFS

    Try to remember acronyms or phrases to help you remember layouts, etc. Peugeot posted a message a while back in case there is not a pro forma for the Cash Flow statement - Never Really Thought Cima Exams Much Fun, then of course the final line is Increase/Decrease of Cash.<BR><BR>Been trying to remember the three notes for FRS today - figure STRGL looks a lot like strangle and figure you would need to be fit to strangle someone - so to STRGL you need to PUT PT first (PT being physical training). I know it sounds a bit warped and some of you will be laughing thinking I'm in meltdown mode but now that you've seen it and had a laugh you are bound to remember the first letters of each line. <BR><BR>You wouldn't believe all the rubbish I had devised for the theory in PEV and none of it came up so when I do my resit I will have to drag it all out again! :-(

    I totally agree, Ive been cramming all day today but don't seem to remember anything. Still dwelling on how C**p exam yesterday, knocked confidence for six!! Im only concentracting on a few FRS's (1 2 3 10), Ratio's, Consolidated P & L & Cashflow, if there is anything else Im buggered!!<BR><BR>Good luck Im sure it will all come flowing back during the exam!!! NOT!!!<BR><BR>
