Portfolio Nightmare!!

Hi all, does anyone know when the portfolio's have to be in and signed off by? I haven't even started on mine, someone said at college that I should have been gathering evidence from work, to illustrate my skills etc - is this right? If so, i'm up the creek without a paddle!!

    They have to verify them and check that youve completed enough work but then you get them back. They sign it off just incase AAT want to assess any of the work.<BR><BR>Don't forget to complete the studend record card to go with it.

    Best get that little problem sorted then. I sat it in Dec, at the time I complained that there was far too much to learn for Dec, but now i'm glad that we did it then.

    yip doing FRA tommorrow, not looking forward to it. For some reason I have been slightly dyslexic (cant spell) and writing figures back to front in my extended TB's today.<BR><BR>oopppp!

    mines is done and signed off our tutors kept us up to date with them and an internal verifier came to our college ans signed them off last week so thats mines completed thank god but looks like i will be resitting the ecr exam in december

    I agree, but now I have to do everything myself!! Although, in some ways thats a good thingk, because I know its being done correctly! Have you got your FRA tomorrow?

    I hated look after staff, i looked after 50 people and it drove me mad, so having a job now not looking after anyone is a godsend.

    I used to be responsible for staff, but made redundant 2months ago. Luckily found another position, but its a much smaller co, I have much more responsibility - but no staff. Yet, - but there's time!

    I've had no info from my tutor but a few of my friends have completed and gave me a hand out of what thing you should be looking for. Just to get some ideas really, but its difficult because you need to be in a position where you look after staff.<BR><BR>I used to own my own company so I can base it on that.

    Same here, once I've finished the portfolio Im hoping to enjoy a nice long summer without any textbooks! With regards to the project, we've not had any info yet - you?

    no still on intermediate but will go on to Tech, wont start looking at the book until Jan 06. Fed up with exams. Probably start looking to do the project research in Sept though.

    I think it was end of June, i'm sure there was a definate cut off time if you wanted to start in Sept 05 on Technician.<BR><BR>Took me ages to label everything up with page numbers etc.

    Intermediate level - but last year due to other quals that I had, I didn't have to gather any evidence or do the H&S units etc, I know that my devolved assesments and central assesment covered everything. This year i'm not so sure, I've missed the last 4-5 weeks of college so not had chance to check, I'm going to try to call in this week. I just wondered if anybody else know the situation?

    I read some where it was end of June/ beginning of July.<BR><BR>you don't have to use evidence from work you can use lecturer based evidence set by your tutor. If you do use work evidence it need to have a witness statement from your manager.
