Under Recovery
Yes I agree it is mean. However if you look at chapter 6.1 on page 89 of the BPP unit 5 (2004/2005) book it does say that overhead absorption is also known as called overhead recovery. I know this is a recomended text but I am not sure whether it is a compulsory one. You would need to ask the AAT about this prior to complaining.0 -
Under Recovery
In the tutorial there is a note about under absorption also being referred to as under recovery sometimes.
However I have to admit it was mean. I was lucky that I remembered reading this but thought about it for ages.0 -
Under Recovery
In the FTC Foulks Lynch book it has a defenition of under/over absorption (recovery) but that is the only ref to recovery I can find, not even when it defines it again in greater detail later on. Not exactly screaming out at the reader "LEARN ME"0 -
Under Recovery
I didn't know that it meant underabsobtion, I just assumed that it did and luckily it was correct, however I know that other people on my course didn't have a clue

I think in general the wording on the whole paper wasn't very good0 -
Under Recovery
Yes several times I just looked at it and thought ???? I justified some of the assumptions I had to make with notes to the examiner. Don't know if it helps me any but at least they can see where I was coming from0 -
Under Recovery
we use the osborne books and that states that overhead absorption is also known as "recovery". Think they were trying to catch us out.
0 -
Under Recovery
I'm sorry, but that is just being VERY MEAN! as in class we have never even used the term "recovery".
And im sure not many would have used the term recovery either0
