PTC TIPS NEEDED
Hi Ann.

Brush up on private residence rules - just in case.

The difference between private and occupational pensions.

Matching rules for shares, and index linking the price.

Indexation, taper relief.

Taxable benefits in kind.

Savings, dividends, tax exempt items.

Dates for filing returns, and penalties - they may ask you what would happen if you filed on such a date - are penalties payable?

They may put in an exempt benefit - so you ignore it (might be best to note that you are ignoring it as it is exempt).

Gift aid - extending the basic rate band.

Check out the guidance notes under 'Assessments', 'Exam Support'.

Scott.0 -

PTC TIPS NEEDED
I don't think our tuitor spent much time on pension, neither. Oh, well, we still have some time left (plus Desparate Housewives are not on TV anymore) to read through our notes.

I'm so looking forward to coming out of my college this Friday, thinking 'Yey, I'm a free woman!!'. I can go to gigs without feeling guilty.

BTW, have we got the same exam writer for PTC and BTC? BTC didn't have any Inland Revenue forms to fill in, so would they ask you to fill in Tax Return for PTC?0
