Reading the posts, I think bristol must have pretty much the best PEV & DFS tutors in the country.

Our DFS tutor did the paper whilst we were in the exam so she could let us know how we did, then even came to the pub after.
I know i cocked up some of the rules and regs stuff, but overall I felt prepared for pretty much everything on there.

Thanks Jenny & Sue!!
Hi!
If you know the answers, could you tell me what the investment in the associate was. Do you remember the ratios as well.
Thanks. I am just a bit nervous at the moment,...

sorry, i'm nearly through my second 660ml of 1664, it's all a bit hazey now, but didn't they buy 25% of the shares, and i think i remember the p&l profit was 8000 at the start and 9000 at the end? so difference was 1000.
I seem to remember them paying 5000 for 2500 shares too, so £2 a share & the nominal value was only £1. so half of it would be share premium

The ratios seemed to suggest the company beggining with P was more profitable and gave a better return, but they were highly geared because of their big loan, so more risky if profits were to drop in the future. Their assets were much higher though so maybe they had invested in machinery or something that would increase sales, but hadn't reached fruition yet. further information would be needed on that.

ONly my opinion, could be barking up the wrong tree completely.

Although I struggled Monday and today, it was only really on stuff that I should have revised but didn't because _I_ didn't think it would come up. Jenny and Sue are outstanding tutors. Thanks also to Kevin for preparing us so well for BTC yesterday.

By the way, is that you Ollie? This is Keith!
