PCR compared to PEV

The difference in the time and complexities of PEV to PCR you could almost think PEV was another level. How can two exams at the same level of competency be so different. PEV on Monday not only tested my competency but my ability to speed write. If only I had known shorthand maybe I would have had enough time to actually answer part 2.2 with some thought. I may have actaually finished the paper as well.<BR><BR>What are AAT doing? Surely I'm not alone in thinking that the difference remarkable?

    Amazing - must be different examiners writing the papers, although for some reason i thought it was same person.<BR><BR>PCR only took 1h 15m PEV i just failed!

    Hi<BR><BR>I agree with you, in PCR I took approximately 1.5 hrs to finish but with PEV I didn't finish with 3 hrs and 15 minutes.

    i am totally the other way round, PEV on monday ithought went ok i finished in 2 hours but PCR on my god, what the......<BR><BR>i got baffled when it started talking about random sampling and systematic sampling, so i just made it up after that, could not figure out what to do with the overtime budget and the overheads<BR><BR>def failed that one

    I agree!<BR>Had lots of time to check my answers too!<BR>How can they be so different?????<BR><BR>Just got to revise now for PTC! This time tomorrow I shall be very merry :-)!

    I did PCR at christmas and as with all my costing papers thought I'd failed. Luckily I passed and just had PEV to contend with. I studied so much for this exam as I felt it was the one that would catch me out and it did. Some of my answers have been the same as others on the forum, but everyone has been in the same boat - I spent at least 2-2.5 hours on the first section, that section 2 was hurried and the last question I wrote garbage. PEV compared to PCR is like learning Einsteins theory of evolution or E=MC squared. I was rubbish at algebra etc at school, all those years ago and to me PEV is on a par with it. I much prefer the DFS side of things to costing.<BR>

    you may have thought it was the same examiner because they were very competent in mistakes they made.... 3 found so far in 2 papers i sat!

    My group all found PEV really hard and some people walked out. PCR was much better to do for me anyway.
