I don't normally do this but I am torturing myself!

When we had to prepare the operating profit for Aston and Brum, I prepared them separately and got to the equivalent of gross profit.

Did anyone do a total column and use that gross profit to then take off the overtime premium as a fixed cost to get to operating profit? I put a note to say that the overtime premium was a fixed cost but I'm now thinking I should have taken it to the next stage to get an overall figure for the two products together, but the question made it sound like it was just the two products separately.

I'll be really cheesed off if I fail this for not doing the totals column when the exam was that straight forward.

But nothing I can do about it now so I have to try and stop stressing and keep fingers crossed for the results. Think I did everything else OK and revised the right stuff so I'm going to be really fed up if that messes it up.

It was whether they will be expecting a total column. I agree it wasn't clear. I guess it will be marks lost for not doing all the task rather than being marked down for doing it wrong.

It's always difficult because they don't tell you how many marks are allocated to each question - that might give you a clue as to how much to do.

i totally agree, they should tell you the marks for each question, i would be easier then to know if they just want a sentance or page long report! anyhow see what happens, do you know when the results are issued?

Someone mentioned on another thread that it was the 17th of August - it's usually the second week in August on the Wednesday I think so that makes sense.
