could some one tell me how you have dealed with stepped cost, have you took the 400,000 or as it was in question said 100,000 or part of 100,000, took 380,000.

'or part of' means even if it is below 100,000 you still take it at 100,000. Stepped cost was £120,000 per 100,000 so £480,000 for flex budget.0 -

i got the same as you sera21uk ... £120,000 per 100,000 units therefore £480,000 for the 380,000 units produced. <BR><BR><BR>JP0 -

Seems like calculation mistake in case of £480000<BR>if it is 120000 per 100000 units then for 380000 units<BR>380000/100000*120000=456000. <BR><BR>0 -

i did exactly the same as you Gina.<BR><BR>But worked out electricity on 420,000 units and got £1,576,000 for the actual. This all sounds so horribly wrong now and hope that I got enough of the rest of this question right to pass.<BR><BR>fingers crossed.<BR>0 -

Thanks all of you, I think I misunderstood and did same as Gina which gave me at the end 266 F variances instead of 290 F which was the right answer, i hope they don't see this is a big mistake or!!!!!!!!!?0
