WHAT NOW EVERYONE
Nope!

You will be an Accounting Technician (but call yourself whatever you fancy!!)

Have to study for another 3-4 years to become an Accountant, its a whole other qualification that is meant to be ten times harder than AAT!

Good Luck

0 -
WHAT NOW EVERYONE
I thought further study - CIMA or ACCA was approx 2 years.

I am going to go on (which one i don't know) but have allowed 3 years for it - otherwise i'm giving up.0 -
WHAT NOW EVERYONE
If it was two years I would do it myself!!

I think you get excemptions from foundation CIMA but have been put off a little as a few people that I know (who are very bright) have failed the Intermediate exams (first 2) twice in a row so are no better off than me but have been studying hard for over a year - just seems like a waste of life!!

0 -
WHAT NOW EVERYONE
I'm going on to do ACCA, more fool me. Yes you can do it in 2 years but 3 years (or more) is probably more realistic and a bit easier on yourself. I believe that at the moment with full AAT qualification you are exempt from level 1 of ACCA.
and yes, it is supposed to be much harder than AAT.

Well one day it will be worth it!

I for one am going to have a good well-earned rest for now.

0
