Hello,<BR><BR>Im really not sure how I did on the June 2005 ECR Exam.     Hi<BR><BR>Anybody, please can you help me. I have been looking at the project for next year that i was given off my tutor to start doing for unit 10.(MAS). I am now nervous as hell, as i have to give my project proprosal in 2 weeks. apparently i have to choose a subject from work, on how to improve the accounting system. I am lost. Can anyone let me know what there ideas are? or explain how i go about the project? I thought that the exam would be the end of it for 2 months, and then i get this lol!!!

    Hi Steph<BR><BR>I found it all a bit daunting when my tutor first told me about it and the more I looked into it the more I thought - I cant do this !! But once I actually got going it got easier, I even started to enjoy it! so I got there and it was signed off.<BR><BR>I basically looked at it as pulling apart the accounting system- looked for weakness that could be exploited, oppotunity for fraud and errors. Also looking for strengths as well.<BR>I based mine on the payroll and expenses system because this is a large part of my job and I knew how it all worked. I hadnt been with the company long at the time which was good because I still had thoughts like 'wouldnt it be better done this way?'<BR><BR>My project proposal just outlined the area that I wanted to analyse and explained how I was going to go about doing it (talking to other staff members, looking at the way things are done, checking against external regulations etc.)<BR><BR>I also read just about everything that I could relating to it - there are guidance notes on here under resource centre which are quite good.<BR><BR>This doesnt look like much now but hope its helped<BR><BR>good luck,<BR>Dee
