It's a bit difficult to answer these for you, they need to come from you in your work situation but think about the following:

How do you give tasks out to other people, how do you make sure work gets done?
How do you get your point of view across to your superiors?
As far as accounting policies go, how are changes in procedure dealt with? Does a new financial act affect anything to do with your work, or are the IFRS's going to affect you?

Annette

    Hi there

I have just looked through my project I did last year and can give you a little advice on your questions. Hope this is ok.

Principles of Supervision - Basically I put in the following:- Monitoring work carried out by the sub-ordinate, using an appraisal system to measure past job performance against targets set etc.
Identify any training needed.

Principles of delegation- This is porbably just a case of making sure you never get too swamped with workloads yourself and don't be afraid of passing work to your staff, ie delegation. This builds on trust both ways and shows the employee they are a valued team member etc.

How to influenece your manager/supervisor - You would need to back-up any suggestions you may have with one-one meetings/oral discussions and maybe written analysis or s.w.o.t analysis which may explain any assumptions made. Obviously communication would be the key factor here and always keep this going.

Accounting policies are updated (internally) usually by in-house policies and procecures. These may be updated/amended by different people depening on the size/type of organisation involved.
They should then be made available to all staff to review so they know what the accounting polices for their organisation are. In the case of external accounting policies - these would come from a source like the government (EG VAT) National statistics office and councils etc.

Hope some of the above information is a bit helpful to you.

Best of luck with your project.

Thanks
Sharon
