Well, barring a disastrous exam result, that's the Foundation year out of the way. So, have any of you old hands got any advice for someone starting out on the Intermidiate course in September?

Read your books at home - ALL the books at HOME.
I remember alot complaining about aspects of the exam not been mentioned in lesson - BUT they where in the books! Lessons cant cover everything.
Do plenty of tasks and questions. Not just the homework set by college, find as much as you can, loads on the net.
If you dont understand in lesson - ASK
Study hard and you will get through.

Amanda

PS And join MSN Intermediate if you already havent.

I found the support from my fellow students invaluable. We used to meet during the holidays and have brain busting sessions on subjects we were unsure about. We also had a lot of fun together!

Good luck.

when it comes to exam time, read all the books again, we were told to learn the past exams parrot fashion and we would be fine, but they failed to tell us that the examinor had changed and the questions were different, and presented in a different way, as a result most of our class think weve failed the 2nd exam......if we'd have read all the book we'd have been fine, thanks tutor...x
