Hi there!! I'm new to this so be gentle!!
I've just completed level 3 and really wanna do level 4, the only problem is i'm gettin married next March (well actually thats not a problem, i can't wait!!) and moving to Scotland (i live in Yorkshire!). If i start college again in September my course is going to get disrupted in March with the moving and wedding etc so i'm thinkin of studying at home. Does anyone think this is a good/bad idea?? I'm currently working in an accountancy practice but will leave next February so i don't think college is the way to go, plus i will have to pay for the course myself :-( I'll most likely end up getting another job in an accountancy firm in May/June (just thinkin realistically) What i was thinking was to do start the course in the next couple of months or so and sit the exam in December 2006, this will give me plenty of time to study and spend some quality time with my soon-to-be-husband!! I've heard that level 4 is quite hard, i only intend on doing this once and passing first time. Also, if i do study at home where would the exams be sat??
If anyone has ANY advice it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Help!! Level 4 next year???
I would gofor it now, doing home study. Once you stop studying things get in the way and you will not get going again.

When I was foundation I had 3 - 4 months off studing to move house and then my wedding and honeymoon. (My exam was 2 days after wedding and 2 days before honeymoon)
Dont forget when you are doing a level you always say its hard when you have done it then its easy. Think back to doing intermediate im sure there was times you thought it was hard - but now its easy. Im sure it will be the same with the Tech Level.

The good thing with Home study is it moves with you, Its to work around you and to suit you.

Im home study with Premier Training (www.premiertraining.co.uk) and think they are really good.

For the central exams Im classed as a external student and when the exam paper comes there is a list of colleges / centres that accept external students so you just pick the one closest to you.
One thing that has come to mind is you need a supervisor for yours skills tests, do you know anyone in Scotland that is able to do this for you. It cant be a family or friend member. If you was to go with Premier Im sure they would help you out in.

So hope all goes well for the move and wedding!

Amanda0 -
