I have just asked for a payrise<BR><BR>The boss tells me they will look in the market place to see if I can have one.<BR><BR>I prepare Management Accounts, Prep VAT, PAYE, Wages (weekly and monthly) Prep year end accounts for auditors, Purchase ledger, in fact everthing except sales ledger (credit control).<BR><BR>Any one out there doing the same job in the Hotel industry??<BR><BR>(Bedfordshire)<BR>How much are you paid a year?<BR><BR><BR>

    Well it seems I drummed up some interest but have had no replies.<BR><BR>Ay one doing the same job outside the Hotel industry??<BR><BR>What do you get??

    I did my work experience in a hotel where the financial controller did exactly the same as you. When I got my position in practice I was offered £10 an hour and she said that was more than she was on.<BR><BR>I can't be specific as I don't know but does that help at all.<BR><BR>Annette

    Dear Hazel<BR><BR>May I suggest you ask some of the local agencies for advice. Being out of London will drop your salary a bit. The hotel industry is notoriously stingy, too when it comes to wages (I was a chef for 20 years before I changed careers). You may get a higher salary if you changed employers.<BR><BR>Good Luck<BR><BR>Alexander
