Hi there

Can anybody tell me when the deadline for registering is, it says 31/7 on the web site but then when I rang FTC they said I have until 15/8.

I dont think I will have the project on the Aug SOA but definitely the Sep one, will this affect me starting ACCA?

Sorry if being thick but just thought that maybe I could register and then start in Sep (as long as I pass) and as long as FTC (who i will be studying with) can see that I have done the project they wont mind waiting to see it on the Sep SOA. I may be completely wrong of course!

Any help much appreciated.
Many thanks
Geraldine

Registering for ACCA
Hi

For ACCA it is 15/08/2005 but for CIMA I think it was 31/07/2005.

Also to be exempted you have to finish everything including the project.

HTH0 -

The deadline for registering as a student to sit the Dec exam for ACCA is 15 August. The deadline for submitting exemptions is 31 July but is extended for AAT students to 31 August.

I have registered as a student and will submit my Tech certificate by the end of Aug which will enable me to start at part 2.

Helen0 -
Registering for ACCA
Hi

Ghoban, although you may not have evrything done my the ned of August it may still be worth applylling for paper by paper exemptions as it is possible to gain exemption from papers 1.1 and 1.2 having completed FRA and RCI and DFS and MPV & MEV (can't remember the exact unit titles!).

You'd still be required to register (and pay) for paper 1.3 but you wouldn't actually have to sit and could just claim the exemption when you got your certificate.

Neil0 -
Registering for ACCA - just couple more questions
Many thanks for all your replies.

Neil H, thanks for that so basically I can register by 15/8. I have completed my msp project but this is not going to appear on SOA until Sep and I still have to get the other 2 silly ones done (now!) H&S and WWC. If they do not appear on SOA until October will I still be able to start?

Also I am not sure about one exam result (PEV) for next week.

Many thanks
Geraldine0 -

Hi

Like I said, with the financial accounts exams at intermediate and technician will make you eligible for exemption from paper 1.1, the costing/budgeting papers 1.2 so you could still begin ACCA and claim exemption form 1.3 later. Best to get your exemptions confirmed before you enrol on courses though.

Neil0
