if you do all the necessary units to pass intermediate and technician level then you are completely exempt from the first year / section of acca. i think similar exemptions apply with other bodies such as aca etc. go here:

http://www.accaglobal.com/prospectivestudents/professionalscheme/professional/exemptions0 -

I think - with CIMA if you have taken certain tax/audit units then you are exempt or jsu do top up papers for certian units.

Have a look on their website.

Sleuthy is correct - if you complete tech level then you are exempt from part 1 of ACCA (if on new standards) if you complete tech on old standards then you are exempt from 1.1 and 1.2 only. If you only have Intermediate level then you start from Part 1 - AAT Int is an entry qualification.

Don't know anything about CIPFA or ICAEW

Helen0 -
For ACA max exemptions, you need to do audit and both tax units - that's one more optional unit that is strictly necessary to pass AAT.

But I enjoyed it. Really.0 -

Hi

CIMA and ACCA award exemption from their first stages regardless of options taken.

The fast track ICAEW/ACA works regardless of what options you have taken as follows:

AAT Audit + ICAEW Audit top up = Exemption from ICAEW Audit

AAT BTC + ICAEW Tax top up unit 1 = Exemption for ICAEW Tax

AAT PTC + ICAEW Tax top up unit 2 = Exemption for ICAEW Tax

AAT BTC & PTC + ICAEW Tax top up unit 3 = Exemption for ICAEW Tax

You'd also be exempt from the ICAEW Accounting paper for having completed the core AAT units.

I belive CIPFA require Audit and Cash Management for their fast track.

Neil0
