Hi everyone.

I have just passed FRA and ECR and I will be starting Technician in September. My course tutor is on holiday so I am trying to find out in which order the units will be done as I am desperate to make a start on the reading.

I guess it might not be the same for all colleges but if I get a few replies we will soon find out! Id really like to know what is likely to come up first so I can go out and buy the books.

The compulsary ones are 8-Management of Performance and 9-Control of Recourses. I dont know whether these would be done first?

Cheers Guys!

It's like you said - it's different for every college.

You will have to wait for your tutor to return, otherwise you'll end up studying the wrong units.

Scott.0 -
In what order do we do the units?
The compulsory ones are Units 8 and 9 (PEV and PCR the costing ones) and DFS or the public sector equivalent and the MAS project.

The optional ones are Personal Tax, Business Tax, Cash Management and Audit of which you have to do at least 2 from four. What order you them in is entirely up to the college, it doesn't actually matter. At Durham we did Cash Management and personal tax first from September then the costing ones, DFS and Business Tax after Christmas.0 -

Sleuthey, if you're studying at Strode the info. I have from them (no guarantees it's correct) is that we will study Personal Taxation and Budgeting for exams in December, with Costing, CMCC and and DFS after Christmas. If you want to do any additional units, they would be by private study with some tutor support during the 1/2 hr they set aside at the end of the classes. I'm doing the evening classes - assume it's the same structure if you're a daytime student.0
