Home study?!

I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice.<BR><BR>I have only got PEV to study for at my college now and the project to do but I have always been interested in business tax and personal tax. I was unable to do the tax units as they are run in an evening and I attend college on day-release. I work until 7pm so still wouldn't be able to take the tax units.<BR><BR>I feel as though I will be missing an opportunity to learn tax if I don't take them at some point even though I have no need to as I did Auditing and Cash Management.<BR><BR>Does anyone know if it is possible to do these two units on home study whilst still studying at college for PEV? Or once I've completed PEV and the project will I be able to do the two units home study? Or will my college tell AAT I have completed in December and then it'll be too late??<BR><BR>Once the certificates have been issued after the December exams will it be too late to carry on and do the extra units on home study?<BR><BR>Thanks for any advice anyone can give me.

    Home study?!

    Surely the college could sort something out for you since you do attend on day release. We had our tax units covered during the day and it was no problem. You could study from the textbooks but if you get stuck or unsure you really need a point of contact to help sort it out.

    I'm going to speak to them about it in the next few weeks but the units are definitely not run through the day so I don't know what they'll say.

    You can do the units on home study, but it is alot harder.<BR>Best of luck with whatever you decide

    Hi Sadie,<BR><BR>I'm in process of studying PTC through BPP home study. I'm not that far through, so can't comment on how easy/hard I am finding it, but it only cost £105 which isn''t too bad. You'll also have access to a tutor at BPP, so you can ask them any questions that you don't want to ask your other college. <BR><BR>Best of luck,<BR><BR>A
