<BR>I've noticed whilst reading everyone's comments that allot of Intermediate --> Technician students have already started their MAS project. I'd like to start it so that i dont have to worry about doing it around exam time...Can anyone give me some advice on what to do plz?<BR><BR>I'd appreciate any comments you may have.<BR><BR>Cheers<BR><BR>Ben

    Hi<BR><BR>I did mine on our foreign petty cash system, I look after it and nobody really checks my work or checks the cash in tin. I Talked about the improvements that could be made, ie getting boss to sign off and to check cash every quarter. You have to bring fraud in so for example I said that I could be stealing money and no-one would know.<BR><BR>I basically outlined the procedure of getting cash (broker filling out form and requesting from me) then went through all the procedures, this makes for a lot of writing. Then went through all procedures again and made recommendations on each step.<BR><BR>Believe me the hardest thing is getting started but once you do it isnt that bad.<BR><BR>Hope this helps<BR>G

    Hi Ben,<BR>I would say wait until you start Tech level, as there is a weekly session on the project, about planning it, motivation managing people etc etc. <BR>The tutor give you guidelines on timescales, and size. If you start before this you could end up waffling about stuff that isn't relevent.<BR><BR>Once he says start, then go go go & get it out the way as soon as poss & DON'T put it off. <BR><BR><BR>

    I would advise to start project asap. I left it till the last minute and struggled to get it in on time. You don't have to wait till you start college to start project. There are guidance notes on this site.<BR><BR>With regard to weekly sessions at college - my college didn't offer much of this. I did the project myself with no tutorials and passed. All the college did was mark it.<BR><BR>Helen
