Hi Everyone,<BR><BR>Im a bit confused about the project for unit 10 we have to do next yr, We have been told to come up with ideas for when we get back in September. I work for a solicitors and am not sure what sort of topics AAT are looking for? <BR><BR>Any help would be great!<BR><BR>Thanks Everyone

    Basically - it's improving an accounting function. I work in corporate recovery so don't really deal with payroll, purchase ledger - which is what most students do their project on. Instead I based my project around how we calculate our time cost fees on case closure. This tied in with revenue and bad debt figures.<BR><BR>As said above most students do their project on payroll, purchase ledger, sales ledger but there are many different topics you can use. I got ideas by speaking to colleagues and made sure I ran my idea past management first to make sure they approved of my topic of choice.<BR><BR>Helen

    I'm sure that, as you have followed all your systems and procedures, you have thought of a more efficient or secure way of doing things. That is the idea of the project. Personally mine was on setting up a new bookkeeping system for a client, going from manual to excel, but there were other things I could have done.<BR><BR>Maybe you have already changed something?
