Hi

Your best bet would be to phone the AAT and ask them if it would qualify.

Best of luck
Eva0 -
working in a bank as a cashier good for AAT ?
I worked for 25 years in a bank and then left with no qualifications other than my O levels that I took at 16. I enrolled on a distance learning book-keeping course and when I passed these exams I enrolled with AAT, my book-keeping exams allowed me to start at intermediate stage.

I have just finished technician level, only my project to do, I would say that cashiering in a bank would be of no use to you if you want to work in accounts. I had a lot of experience working in the bank and this did help me with AAT, but not at cashier level.

Hope this helps.

Gill0 -

I also was in the Banking world for 10 years and I must admit you would struggle to relate your AAT studies to being a cashier.

My advise is try and get into an accounts department as a clerk as this would relate more to the AAT.0
