Does anybody know if we are required to know anout FRSSE (reporting financial standards for smaller entities) for the December Exam sitting?<BR><BR>Also, I have heard that as of December we will be tested on International Accountancy standards. Is this true, and if so what exactly are we expected to know? <BR><BR>Thanks<BR>Toni

    I sat the June 05 DFS and passed and hadn't come across the FRSSE's either in the text books or in the exams?!<BR><BR>We were told to learn the International Standards as they were introduced in January 05 but they didn't come up in the exam. Who know if they will in the Dec exam?! Might be worth reading them though. From what we told some of them are very similar to the normal FRS's and SSAP's.

    I have a list of the SSAP's and FRS's that someone emailed me ages ago. If you let me have your email address I'll email them to you.<BR><BR>Apart from that I found them and the international ones in the DFS textbook. We used the Osborne books.

    If you look in the assessments section of this website, under exam support you will find (amongst other things) detailed guidance for every unit. This is very useful reading - it puts each unit into context, and specifies what is and is not examinable.<BR><BR>In the unit 11 guidance, for example, it states that International Accounting Standards will not be examined until June 2006 at the earliest. My belief is that this WILL happen in June 2006.<BR><BR>Andrew Harrington
