They use Osbourne books (highly recommend, very clear and easy to use).

Technician level costs approx £500. For this you get all study materials, a tutor, helpline, access to VIP part of their website (extra study tips and stuff). They also work out a study plan for you.

I've found them to be fine. No complaints so far.

    Hi guys,

I'm faced with the same problem the college I've been studying at for the past two years have decided we should all do technician over 2 years so I'm forced to go distance learning to enable to complete in 1 year (plan to do CIMA next year and five years study is enough thanks).

Anyway I've been looking around for providers of DL and found a few BPP, FTC (Financial Training Company), Premier and so far I've found FTC to be one of the best. They do revision courses just before all the exams as well which is a definite plus to make sure you're on the right track, and they are a lot cheaper than BPP.

I used BPP books for the foundation level and didn't find them easy to digest at all. Then our college advised us to get FTC books for our intermediate level and they are far far superior to BPP, as well as the text books you get an A5 (handbag size) revision booklet as well for each unit which I found really useful just before the exams.

I actually rang the FTC DL helpline this morning and they were very helpful in answering my many questions, give them a ring on 0845 678 0033.

Good luck in deciding.
