BTS /PTC DO TOGETHER OR NOT?

Hi there,<BR>I am going to do the two tax units in technitian stage.But at the moment i am really confused .In college they only do personal tax in this year from Sep to Dec,then attend exam;the scond year they will do business tax .I have asked my tutor if possible to do both of them in the same year at the same time,he said it will be better do personal tax at first ,then do business tax ,but i really like to do them both at the same time ,it also mean i can attend two exams in this year December ,leave 3 exams behind to do.And i also think about home study for business tax through Premier Training ,they will charge £99 pllus £15 postage ,anyway PLEASE i really need your guys help to make my mind up !!!<BR>Thank you very much for any suggestion and help in advance <BR>Confused chaoliss

    My college does them seperately too. Personal tax - Sept-Jan and Business Tax - Feb-June. I don't think they really run into each other so they don't need to be done together. And besides doing both at once may be confusing?!<BR><BR>Surely if you have to do one in the second half of the year you will still only have three exams to do? Surely either DFS, PEV or PCR will be done in the first half of the year leaving you 3 for the seconhd half?

    What other subjects are you doing between now and Sept? Surely you can't be doing just one subject now and then four in the second half of the year?

    <BR>I did them together, and there is a significant amount of overlap.<BR><BR>If you do PTC first then BTC, you will find BTC a lot easier - it's a bigger unit, but a third of it you will know already.<BR><BR>Which will be nice!

    I am going to do Personal as home study (as my college doesn't offer it and I need to do it) this December with DFS, and then the other 2 compulsory and Business tax next summer.<BR><BR>Alydia

    BTS /PTC DO TOGETHER OR NOT?

    I am doing both BTC and PTC in December 2005. My college FTC London allows them to be sat together. In fact they do not teach the Audit paper! Which is really strange since. You can only do this paper if you work in audit. But then how do students who dont work in accounts do it? Confused. <BR><BR>Anyway good luck. <BR><BR>

    Hi. I am also doing them together. I started BTC last term but found it dificult so therefore decided to wait and do PTC first. My college however only runs one now and one next year so ill be doing one in my own time. lol. good luck.
