Award Ceremonies
No, not yet. They said they would confirm within 10 days, does it already make 10 days we have received the invitation? By the way at which event are you trying to go?0 -
Award Ceremonies
No I don't think it is 10 days, I am just impatient. I put Nottingham as first choice0 -

Award Ceremonies
Hi,<BR><BR>I got my reply back yesterday for Liverpool - can't believe I am actually going to an award ceremony, feel quite proud that I have really achieved something - does anybody else feel that way. Award ceremony is 11th Nov which is the day after my 40th birthday, so have really got something to celebrate that week.<BR><BR>I am thinking of wearing a trouser suit like I would wear for work. It states smart dress, whether that is because of the photo you can have taken. Do the photo people use the "cap and gown" as it states on the leaflet that the studios will be open as soon as the gowns are available - bit daunting.<BR><BR>Is anyone going to Liverpool? that is the nearest for me as I live in Cheshire<BR><BR>Well done to all the other "new members"<BR><BR>Karen0 -

Hi,<BR>I wore a trouser suit to my award ceremony last year (Nottingham). I rang the company up about the cap and gown bit after i got the leaflet but they don`t do the cap and gown bit at the award ceremony (some colleges do it at their own ceremony though - my college didn`t even have a ceremony). <BR>The photos are excellent though. You are given a scroll to hold and i think i like mine better know than if I had worn a cap and gown. I think it looks more like a professional award rather than an academic one (like a degree which youassociate with cap and gown).<BR><BR>Anyway I hope you have as good a time as I did,<BR>Sarah <BR>0 -

I got the invitation to the award cermony but as I live in Cornwall the nearest one was quite a long drive and I'd be on my own at the ceremony I have decided not to go. I'd really like to because it sounds like a good evening and it must be a good feeling to be celebrating after all the hard work we have put in!!0 -
Award Ceremonies
Its a shame that you live such a distance away as its a nice way to "celebrate" all the hard work. My college said they were going to do some sort of ceremony in November, but I haven't heard anything. I'm going to make the most of it as I may not continue with any other studies. I just feel great to have passed the Technician level and become a full member.0 -
