DFS - BBP books......!!

Hi<BR><BR>The college i go to have decided this year that they havent got the facilities, (cant be bothered) to order and store our books for us.. So we have had to order directly from the suppliers....<BR><BR>First of all we were told that we would receive the colleges discount from Osborne which turned out to be complete rubbish... <BR>...and now ive just had my BPP books delivered and they are in very bad condition (considering i paid £18.00 carriage) the thing thats annoyed me the most is the only 2 books the BBP havent delivered yet are the DFS ones that i need for my exam in December 2005...also i was told by my tutor that i need the DFS books specifically for December 2005 exam, but on my delivery note from BPP it said they are planning to send me the DFS books for the June 2006 exams, when i called to query this i was told that the books are exactly the same... This is worrying me quite a bit so if anyone else out there is sitting DFS in December 2005 could you tell me what book you have please..<BR><BR>Sorry to go on just needed to get this off my chest..<BR><BR><BR>

    DFS - BBP books......!!

    Bpp tend to write the books for the next coupld of sittings so when your book come I think you will find that on the cover it will say 'for exams in Dec 05 and June 06'

    Hi,<BR><BR>I've got the Financial Training Book published by Foulked Lynch, but I have been told by FTC that I will be receiving a revision for the the December sitting because some of the standards have changed (FRS's), but I am still waiting!<BR><BR>Sarah

    DFS - BBP books......!!

    BPP books tend to be published every August so the book you receive (when it comes) will be for Dec 05 and Jun 06. If you need it really quickly then why not pop to your local Waterstones and buy it there and cancel your order with BPP if they can't tell you when it will arrive?<BR><BR>My local one that holds all BPP AAT, ACCA & CIMA books is in Leeds. I think only the big Waterstones hold them it might be worth checking first.<BR><BR>Sarah.

    I am retaking the DFS exam in December and I will be using last years BPP text book so I hope not too much is changing. If anyone does find out if there are any changes I would appreciate finding out.<BR><BR>Thanks

    Hi.<BR><BR>I too have the BPP books for Dec 04/June 05. However, if you log onto the web for BPP - under the AAT front page there is a PDF download that details the changes and the FRS' you will need to know. It looks like it is only 2 for the December exam so is not too heavy going???<BR><BR>There is also a new download on the AAT website under assessments/exam support/detailed guidance on each unit - this should help as well.<BR><BR>I'd be more worried if you have to retake in June, as it looks like a few more changes in for the June exam!<BR><BR><BR>
