can anyone help me with this?<BR>i'm not sure i understand it, is the overlap from the tax year end or the year end of the company???

    if you look at the question in the june 05 exam they use the tax year end but in the books ftc they use the year end in some of the answer, even if you could explain the basis it might help - Thanks

    Does it relate to the first year of trading? If so then there is a little diagram in the text books that tells you which year end to use.<BR><BR>For year 1 take commencement of trading to the next April 5th.<BR>For year 2 there are several rules depending on when the accounts are made up to.<BR><BR>Is this the information you require? If so I can try and find the diagram and copy it for you. It doesn't make sense but you have to rote learn it - it's quite likely to come up in the exam.<BR><BR>Annette
