Please help DFS
If it is from a fixed asset investment it would go under Operating Profit as "Income from Fixed Asset Investments". If it is an inter-company dividend it would not be included in the consolidated financial statements as intra-group trading is cancelled out. If it is any other form of dividend, again it would be included under Operating Profit classified as other income with a narrative "Dividend Received".

Let me know if you need any more help.

Regards
Steve0 -
Re:Please help DFS
Hello,
I have a couple of questions relating to the answers to this exam;
Firstly, where do you get the 'goodwill written off' figure of £200 from in task 1.3?
Secondly, where do you get the 'goodwill on acquisition' figure of £500 from on task 1.4?
and finally, the 'Group's share of post-acquisition profits' £1,000,000?
Thanks
Anns

Re:Please help DFS
Can you tell me if you are working off a past exam paper - if you are which sitting is it and I can look at the question and reply to your query - if you are looking at a textbook you will have to forward me the question via the forums.
Kind regards
Steve
