Help on Chapter 21 Foundation

Hi Everyone.
Im getting really stuck on Chapter 21.1 in the workbook
i carnt get the trial balance to balance can anybody help, ive tryed every thing!!!!!!!
I dont know if im missing stuff out or what?

    Hi.

    I don't know which book you're using but some general advice is:

    Have you entered everything on the correct side. Remember PEARLS, where Purchases, Expenses and Assets are Debits, and Revenue, Liabilities and Sales are Credits.

    Have you carried forward the correct amounts, you haven't transposed any figures.

    Have you made all your entries to the Control Accounts, e.g. payments made/received, sales/purchase returns.

    What is the difference that you are out by - if it's divisible by 9 you have a transposed figure.

    Its the foundation workbook Chapter 21 Question one, and the first trial balance im out by is £760??

    The seconed one which is the following month (feb in this case ) is out by £3,110.00???

    Have you remembered to include bank/cash book balances?

    this is Jan's Trial bal DR CR

    Capital 5000 CR
    purchases 10000DR
    rent 200DR
    sales ledger control 6825DR
    purchases ledger control 7800CR
    sales return 580DR
    shop fittings 2000DR

    These are the accounts i have got for that question?? dont know if you can help

    Everything seems to be on the correct side.

    As Tracey says - where is your Bank Account?

    Have you entered your returns into the Control Accounts, along with any payments/discounts?

    hi..ermm can anyone help i have been asked to complete unit 21 but my tutor hasnt bothered to tell me what i need to do or given me anything to guide me along... acn anyone point me in the right direction as to what i need to do??
