Hi

Does anyone know of any really good books that explain foundation topics really well and easy to understand?

I have bought several books now and they all use Accoutants jargon which doesnt help when you don't know what they mean!

While not wanting to do a sales pitch for the person selling her Osborne books, I used the Osborne Foundation tutorial and found it pretty good. My college are supplying BBP books for Intermediate but I've still bought Osborne tutorials for the level as they're miles better. The only downside with Osborne is that they're a bit pricey.

As far as foundation and intermediate goes I found that Frank Wood's business accounting vol 1 was a good one. With double entry the only way to cement the knowledge in your head is to practice, practice, practice and I found that there are loads of examples in there.

You can always pick up a used copy on ebay to keep the costs down.
