Anyone else still kind of struggling on some of the questions on the past papers for FRA? I find myself always looking at the answers.

Re:Anyone Else?
Hi Chris, me too! I've been doing practice papers and end up ALWAYS looking at the JV entries. I can't seem to get it into my head what side things go, my head doesn't seem to want to retain JV's. Never mind, I'm sure there will be lots of JV's to do for the exam.......
Good luck next week if you are doing the exam.
Cheers

Re:Anyone Else?
Don't we just love it eh??? We beat ourselves up everytime we have an exam!! I am a distant learner and the college I am going to is within my view from the office window and everytime I look at it I get scared hahaha
I am spending this weekend doing some revising and I am not going to look at the answers until I have finished the exam. Do you find after getting the answer you then whizz through the bits you do know? I completed one practice exam in 45 mins, but only because I looked at the answer to what I was stuck on. Can't do that in the exam can I.....!
Mind you , doing exams is a good way to lose a couple of pounds, I might do all my nexts years exams in one go, will beat the cabbage diet.

Re:Anyone Else?
lol, women! always worried about their weight! No offence. I find that the more i study the hungrier i get and end up putting the pounds on.
Yeah once i look through the asnwers i rush through everything else. For some reason i think that the faster i do it the better it will be, instead of taking my time to make sure my answers are correct.
Who are you doing distance learning with?

Re:Anyone Else?
Me too !
I'm home this afternoon doing some more study and work has been fantastic and given me an extra full day off next week for study leave (thanks boss!) I'm on the website at the moment looking for another past paper to download.
I'm still going through past papers and cant do a full one with out having to look at the answers and when I do I think 'That's right' but give me a day then I forget it again. I think someone else said on here they are the same.
Starting to really worry about this exam next week
I'm doing it distance learning and have definately learnt a lot more about self discipline !

Re:Anyone Else?
No offence taken about the weight thing, but you are right, women are always worrying about it!!!! Personally I think I don't eat enough chocolate......!
I am studying with Premier, I looked on this discussion forum and they were mainly recommended so I talked my boss into going with them and they are 1000% better than the ones I went with for my Foundation.
I said earlier that I am 100 yards from the college but I can't do the formal thing and go routinely every week etc and sit in a classroom, I love the freedom of anytime, anywhere learning, I just wish I could learn JV's........0 -

Re:Anyone Else?
Good luck both of you, hope you have a good weekend and get a lot of study in ;-) Mandy your weekend sounds a lot like mine, walking the dog in between studying, I think it'll be the only thing out of the house that I do this weekend !
I've got Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning off as well so I shall be having my head in the books then.

Re:Anyone Else?
Hi Katherine,
hope your weekend goes well too, I have just printed off my practice exams for the weekend and am going to do loads of JV's and try to get some sort of system going in my head. I do try to do what someone suggested and do the "T" accounts of what has happened, what should be happening and how to put it right. Anyway, good luck for your exam, my biggest worry is finishing it at around 5pm and coming out the college in the biggest rush hour ever!!!

Re:Anyone Else?
Hi Mandy,
This may be a dangerous question so close the exam but what does JV stand for ? I'm guess it has somthing to do with Journal Entries ? I've been reading your posts and worrying as I dont know what that is !
I've been doing the T accounts as well and find that helps, but will be printing off a load more past papers today so I can get more practise in this weekend and during the week.
Good luck studying on the weekend

Re:Anyone Else?
I've just realised what I have been doing!!! JV is a journal voucher and something I do in work, it transfers costs from one cost centre to another, weird that I can't get my head around double entry journals.... Don't worry, my fault there, fell into some work jargon, nothing for you to worry about.
Have a good weekend studying too and enjoy the walk with your dog.

Re:Anyone Else?
I thought you meant journal entries as well. I got a bit worried at first and was looking through my text book to see if it said anything about JV's. Ive just finished section 1 of the Dec 03 and didnt balance
( !!!!!!!!! Im so annoyed, still making silly mistakes. 0 -

Re:Anyone Else?
God, I hope I haven't got everyone worrying!! Apologies!
Do you think that maybe there is a point where you are so revised out that
it might be worth leaving it for a day? I think I might be doing that, I've learnt so much, I feel my head is like a sponge and its so saturated, the information is starting to leak out? I know I've lost the plot in work, I questioned a journal entry and asked on whose authority it was done on and I got a message back saying me!!!! And I got a copy of my original journal request, LOST IT OR WOT?????
I should really be working now....0
