Hi everyone,

Just wondering what you all thought of the PEV paper this morning? I thought the latter parts of section 1 were rather horrible, but overall found the paper ok compared to other past papers.

Hope everyone feels a bit more relaxed now, we can breathe a half sigh of relief until the PCR paper!!!

    Hi, I agree this paper was ok. I took and failed PEV in June and compared to that one this was easy.

    It wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either. I think section 2 was better than any of the past papers. Although I don't know what I should have written about benchmarking.

    There seemed to be alot of writing to do. About half of my class had to ask for extra sheets of paper.

    I failed PEV in June too(on section 1). Section 2 was definately easier in that you were allowed to show what you knew and could happily play with numbers. Section 1 was really confusing I thought, although Im sure I did a similar practice paperin the dark and distant past. Although, I couldnt remember it at the time of course. I couldnt work out the price variance in the currency question and after having several answers gave up on it.

    I agree, I was suprised that there was only one actual memo - I got so fed up with writing memos on all the past papers! On the last question, I was also suprised that it didn't ask you to actually explain anything, just compare the revised indicators to the old ones. Although I did try to explain a bit... otherwise it seemed too easy!

    I was so pleased that the memos were at a minimum! I am praying that I've passed this exam!!!! Other people in the discussion forums have said that this exam in comparison to last June was a doddle, forgive me for sounding negative, but knowing my luck if I have a resit in June it'll be an awful paper!
