Anyone else back from BTC exam Yet ?

Or is it just me.......

I was out really early but many were out before me anyone else find this ?

The main parts seemed fine. Didnt know the fines for late returns etc though....

Any one ....?

    i went kind of blank the paper didnt look hard i just had mental block
    what did u think

    I didnt do anything with that 'cos i think if its a genuine trade sub its allowable....

    Did you index the gain on the asset sold in the same year as purchase, i didnt (cos it was the same year) but i'm now thinking maybe i should have cos indesation is monthly isnt it.

    I didnt think it seemed that hard either but I did go blank in some areas and other were ok.

    can you remember the final figure you got for the tax return form.

    Yeh this duplicating posts seems to be happening alot lately

    No sorry cant remember my final figure... To be honest most of its gone from my memory now except the bits i didnt know .....!

    Also allowed the trade association subscription.

    Penalties
    Personal - ร‚ยฃ100 upto 6 months late
    ร‚ยฃ200 6 months - 12 months late
    CT - upto 100% of tax liability.

    Hi, got out at about 11. I find the paper ok, except for the fines and dates. Also the CT liability for before and after dividends. I thought they were the same???

    First calculation had marginal relief, where as the second calculation was all taxed at 19%

    What? Pro-rated PCTCT just exceeded 50000 limit. ร‚ยฃ38857 for 9 months. I didn't calculate marginal relief :/

    CT limit of 50,000 was reduced to 9/12 = 37,500.00, the taxable profit i made to be 33, of 34, thousand, resulting in marginal relief.

    I think i was the first to finish, waited for someone else to leave first... this is either a good thing or very bad.
    First section was ok, the second section was a little tricky- do MD's get full allowance despite having personal use?
    And did anyone know the answer to the last question about the penalties for not informing HRMC about trading?

    The full capital allowance is given on the MD's car as he is taxed personally for it on personal tax.

    Notification on trading carries 100% tax liability penalty.

    How badly do you have to do to fail ?

    I think i did ok on most of it but slipped up on a few area's .....
