i this is the first time i have been on this forum, but i thought i would just share that the exam we did yesterday was really hard, i passed all the past papers and the assessment exam, but bloomin nora, i have failed.

my first t/b didnt balance by 6400 so i created a suspence a/c - am now hoping that that will get me through and the balance balanced because i fudged some of the answers, o and i also hate tippex mices, i completely covered the exam paper in tippex, i got soooooooo stressed by it.

anyone who thinks they did ok, please let me know so i can ask how they managed it.

i thought some of the questions were tricks, i think i completey lost it in there!!!

someone please tell me that it will be ok, and that hopefully i will pass, otherwise i dont think i can take it again!!!!!!

ha ha yeah, I'm sure my tipex bottle was empty by the time I had finished with this exam.....!

Last June I was convinced I failed my ECR, but actually passed - it was a suprise when I found out!!

This year I am not sure what to think, I feel I have failed, but miracles happen................! Lets hope for the best :)

if alot of people think they have failed then the pass mark rate will be really low giving you a great chance of passing!

    good luck!

Sound funny, but you can understand the anxiety behind those words.

lol i can imagine. I can cross as many fingers and toes as i want, theres no way on earth that i passed that exam. Shame really considering all the work i (and probably a lot of us) put in.

I think a lot of people expected a very familiar format and prepared themselves for that. I think by changing it this way, the AAT were probably looking to see if anyone follows the subject matter and not just set their minds up very narrowly for the exam. I think it is a test of whether or not students have understood the principles.
I hope I am not being too hard.

You will still get marks for trying. I think that is why they insist on showing the workings.

    Re:exam yesterday

Maybe I missed something, but what's everyone mean by a change in the format? I did a number of past papers for revision and thought they were similar - in fact, I'm sure the question on Rent was in a previous paper, just a slightly different version.

A tip for all those who have that sick feeling in the bottom of the stomach: What's done is done. However good or bad you did in the exam, you can't change your mark now. I remember the morning I received my degree results. I sat staring at the envelope in my hands for ages. I realised that opening it wouldn't make what was written on the page change so there was no point twisting myself in knots.

Fingers, toes, legs, arms & eyes crossed for Feb x
