Hi
can anyone help?
I have been sent a request to pay £60 for student membership for 2005-06 (due end jan) but if i pass my exam and all sims/project by feb i'll want to become a full member. It doesn't seem fair that i have to pay a year's student membership if i'm no longer a student; will i have to pay £60 annual full membership as well as £60 member fee, or will the student membership be converted to full membership? it's a bit confusing, and i don't want to pay twice!
Thanks
Nia

Re:Full membership
I had already paid my student membership and then received a phone call saying 'congratulations you have been elected as a full member, however membership is £x extra so if you have your credit card ready we can process that today'
Very smooth!0 -
Re:Full membership
Hi
The full membership fee is more than the student fee but if you are already a student member when you apply for full membership, you wont pay the full membership fee but a 'top-up' fee instead.
The first time you pay the full fee is when your subscription becomes due again, whenever that may be for you.

Re:Full membership
Thanks for that, just need to find out now how much full membership will cost me!! (it's quite hard sometimes to search for information on this website, or is that just me??!!!)
i don't think it says anywhere how much it is, I've got loads to pay out in jan/feb and need to budget! what i should have been doing is setting some aside each month for such occasions when i have extra to pay out, but i never do anything the sensible/easy way.......0 -
Re:Full membership
Hi Nia.
It is just you! Members fees are listed under 'Members', 'Members Information', 'Fees'.

Re:Full membership
Can i just jump onto this boat please - i finally had my membership application emailed me after i had spent months hassling them to be sent. I returned them on 13 Dec - in the blurb it said that they would contact me to confirm safe receipt within 10 days - they havent - when can i expect to be able to put letters after my name?????? I completed project in July and passed BTC in August - didnt think in a million years that it would take until now for things to happen - assumed that by Christmas i would be a (door) MAAT!!!!!
Anyone with experience of how long this process takes please put me out of my misery!0 -
Re:Full membership
Hi
You need to allow about 4 weeks (i think) from the AAT receiving your application form to you receivingyour certificate.
Id give them a call if you have any delay.

it was me!! i don't know how i missed it... but i don't look at the members section often (as i'm not yet a member!! but soon will be hopefully!!)
glad to hear there's just a top-up fee to pay, that'll make it a whole lot easier! thanks all for clearing that query!0
