Bookkeeper in Southsea area

Hi,
Is there a bookkeeper out there who would be interested in taking on a client in the Southsea area? I would quite like the client myself, but I'm a bit far away and he particularly wants someone local. This is a service/no stock type industry.

    Book-keeping can be done anywhere provided the postal system is good. I live in London but my clients are everywhere - Manchester, Liverpool, Milton Keynes and Leeds.

    they all send me invoices and other documents via the post or sometimes fax me for important ones.

    Also, as I am on broadband they can contact me almost anytime via email, IM or SKYPE (free voip).

    See if they are prepared to do this. i can not only do their book-keeping but also prepare draft accounts for their accountants to just tick the figures. Also, as I am ATT memeber (tax qualification) I also do self assessment and business taxation including all computations.

    I intend to set up my website very soon so I may need help from people who are good at javascripts, Java and web based email systems to post messages for me.

    I appreciate that bookkeeping can be done from a remote location, as indeed I do for several of my clients. This particular client has expressed a wish for a local bookkeeper, which is a decision I acknowledge and respect. I accept that with the right technology bookkeepers can work remotely to a high standard. However, being a bit old fashioned, I believe I can provide a better service to the clients I can visit regularly. I can keep their files in order, explain the accounts better in a face-to-face meeting, and am more likley to be able to attend VAT and IR inspections and might even pick up some additional work from the clients or their associates. Additionally, not all small business owners are computer literate, nor do they necessarily have the technical resources such as skpye, broadband which help to oil the cogs.
    Added to this, why do I need clients in all corners of the UK when it is less stressful and just as profitable to stay local.
    This client may still come back and offer me the chance to tender for the work, but at the moment he is only looking in the Southsea area.
