Starting a business (with children)

Having just had a baby I am considering starting my own bookkeeping business from home.
Could anyone give me advice; in your experience; how many hours do you spend working at home, compared to working at the clients premises?
Need to find out how many hours of child care I would need, if any at all. I really do not want my baby to go to a child carer too often. My baby is three months and I plan to get my business up and running soon after he is six months (end of Maternity period!)
Many thanks

Re:Starting a business (with children)
Hi Dakalo
There is plenty of work around, although it will take you a few months to get as much work as you want. If you can afford to, wait for the right work to come along. That is the beauty of being self employed - you can choose the work you want to do so that it fits in with your family.
When you first start, you will need to spend some time sorting out the actual setting up of your business - eg advertising, software, PI cover etc, so build that into your timetable.
Good luck
