Osbourne Studying Material/Text Books

Hi there guys,

Has anyone got an opinion on Osbourne's studying material that some colleges issue?

good or bad, I'd be grateful to have any feedback on this as it might determine who I choose as my college!

    Hi,

    I used the Osborne books to do Foundation and I thought the books were excellent and the descriptions were good as well.
    If you decide to use these books I have for sale the work book answers.

    Orbourne books are great, I used them for both levels and will be doing in the last level too.

    If your college has asked you to use them then you will get the answers for the workbooks from them.

    If you are buying them yourself, them Email me for the answers!

    Just to add my 2p (exc. VAT) worth. I agree with the other comments, Osborne books are excellent. My college uses BPP but I bought the Osborne tutorials too as they're so much better.

    Incidently, I just picked up my copy of the Osborne Costing tutorial from W H Smith - it was a fair bit cheaper than Amazon and if you collect your order from your local branch there's no postage, they're quick too. And no, I don't work for them :)

    I've used BPP books for foundation and intermediate and they are ok - can be a bit confusing and a few errors in there too, but I have Osbourne for Technician and they appear to be really good and this is the general opinion I have heard from most people!

    Hi A,

    Yeah they are Official copies its the Tutors answer book to Foundation level, yes I still have it and i bought it so that I could check my workbook answers when I had completed them. Why do you want to know??

    I spoke to my tutor before I bought it and he said that he is happy for his students to buy the books so that they can see how they are progressing with their work, and so that if they made any errors that they can see where they went wrong.
