Re:Study Buddy
Decorating again or practicing on the guitar J?
Are you good at decorating ? We used to do all our own but haven't got the time now - just arranged to GSI, but if you want to earn a few xtra bob
(Sorry showing age now)
By the way managed to find Conference Centre ok, you were quite right, only a few minutes walk from the station. It was easier to get to Manchester CC than it was to find York tax office, which is only just "down the road" from here. (York that is not the office!)0 -
Re:Study Buddy
hehehe jan i could do with a plasterer and a decorator!!!!! (j????) lol0 -
Re:Study Buddy
I suspect that Jamie's tiredness has more to do with getting plastered than plastering :P0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Good one Chris!

Re:Study Buddyto find York tax office, which is only just "down the road" from here. (York that is not the office!)
A couple of years back I went on a CAMRA pub crawl around York. It was the Real Ale Trail, part of the festival of food and drink, and I managed all sixteen pubs on the route in one day. We had a route map! There are a lot of pubs in York. On the way back to my mates' house, we stopped off at a SubWay to get a sandwich.
This was when there were hardly any Subways in England, so the next day I decided I would have another sub. for the long drive home. But I could not find it! York is a pretty compact city centre, and I still remembered my way around. But I couldn't find the Subway anywhere. Maybe I imagined it...0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Was it in a subway?
You can get food places in subways before you all dismiss that apparent act of flippancy.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
probably is chris your right there lol0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Yes there is a Subway in York - but it is tucked away down one of the little streets - between Parliament Street & Coney Street.
I'm told that the Micklegate run on a Friday night is the one to do - but I am much too old & sensible for that
Its my birthday today - so I'm feeling a bit old - big 50 next year

Re:Study Buddy
Hehe, I was decorating mostly and the bedroom is finished now as is the hall stairs and landing.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Thanks J & Helen
Flirty at 40+
Nifty @ 50? Just takes longer to get over the hangover, when I forget to be sensible.
I'm hoping dinner will be cooked for me tonight, but I'm not holding my breathe.

Re:Study Buddy
You'll be 46 next! *ZIPS MOUTH AND UNPLUGS KEYBOARD TO RESIST TEMPTATION*0 -
Re:Study Buddy
FAO MALCOLM.
Can you put it to your techy guys to put an option in the profile which enables the user to disable ALL avatars so that all that shows is the poster's name rather than the picture....

Re:Study Buddy
*Plugs keyboard in and sighs as that one flies over Helen's head* :-)

Re:Study Buddy
Guess you were being smutty again J. Now what rhymes with 46?
Haven't had that for a while. Still resisting tempation in your new office?
Well I suppose I had better go home - not got much done today. How do you lot usually manage?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Multi-tasking!
Not many guys manage it though!

Re:Study Buddy
Don't start Robert off! Where is he, not getting all dark and serious again?
Had to multi task this morning - three phones all ringing at once and I'm on my own today (hence I'm on here!) Ran out of ears
so, put one on hold to answer the other only to find it was some idiot with his phone in his pocket who had dialed me by mistake!
Wonder if I should "work late" so that hubbie has more time to cook dinner
Better not claim overtime though.

I don't mind housework. What I hate is not having the time to do it properly.
It's lovely when everything's tidy and clean and you can just sit there and enjoy it.
Sorry girls, but I do enjoy it!0
